Founded by Melissa, Compost Crusader is a Milwaukee-based company that aims to divert 50 to 75 percent of organics from landfill waste streams by creating a separate organics recycling channel. Melissa has participated in the Social Innovation Initiative's Good Money Challenge and the Boost program. She recently became a Marquette vendor, providing composting services, and launched a pilot residential composting program with the cities of Bay View and Shorewood.
