John, who serves on Marquette's Engineering Advisory Council, says the technical knowledge and problem-solving techniques he learned at the university have been invaluable in his career. But it is the "character" of a Marquette education that has helped him discover his "keys to happiness."

Skelton received a master’s in Engineering from Stanford and a doctorate in international development management from George Washington University. But it was his experiences at Marquette and the university’s commitment to service and excellence that had a great impact on his life’s work.

Amy M. Kloempken, Eng ’98

Amy says Marquette has had a profound impact on her career and life. She truly appreciated the personal attention she received from her professors and mentors and their interest and investment in her success. In turn, she works hard to give the same personal interest and respect during her day-to-day consultation with her clients.
