Remembering James Foley

Friends and colleagues of alumnus and journalist James Foley, Arts ’96, are honoring his life through memories and a memorial scholarship fund in his name. The James Foley Scholarship Fund will demonstrate to the next generations the values he stood for. On Twitter, the #RememberingJim campaign seeks to keep his spirit alive through pictures, videos, stories and quotes.

A prayer vigil to remember James Foley and in support of the Foley family was held Tuesday, Aug. 26, at 6 p.m. in the Church of the Gesu. Watch a recording of the prayer vigil.

Consider praying A Prayer for Journalists. Rev. Frederick Zagone, S.J., chaplain of the Marquette University Alumni Association, also offers this prayer for James.
