School of Dentistry ExpansionConstruction work for the approximately 45,000 square foot addition to the School of Dentistry building started on September 4, 2012. Consisting of a lower level, first and second floors, the expansion will give the school the opportunity to increase its graduating class size to 100 students per year. the expansion includes a clinic housing 24 operatories, a larger faculty practice clinic, additional classroom space and a research lab. The expansion will also allow for the existing simulation lab to be expanded by 24 stations to accommodate additional students. The expanded simulation lab and group clinic will open for fall semester 2013.

Engineering Hall Visualization LabEngineering Hall – Visualization Lab The approximately $1million visualization lab will be constructed in Engineering Hall during the summer of 2013. The Visualization Labe will be a facility to be used by members of the entire Marquette University community to (1) demonstrate how visualization technology can be used in learning, research, and industry, (2) teach the theory rooted in this technology, and (3) create technologically advantageous visualization content.

Historic Core Buildings ProjectsUniversity to invest in renovating three historic core campus buildingsThe university will use this academic year to begin the renovation of the three buildings that make up the campus historic core – Johnston Hall, Marquette Hall and Sensenbrenner Hall. The Facilities Master Planning Committee, which is made up of faculty, students and staff, has reviewed the maintenance needs on campus and identified these three buildings as requiring infrastructure upgrades, maintenance and renovations.
