Curriculum Vitae

Emerita Instructor of Practice – Accounting

Cindy Melis spent several years working in both public and private accounting with the desire to eventually teach future professionals at the college level. After earning her MBA, Cindy joined Marquette University in 2000. She enjoys teaching the required accounting courses to sophomores in the College of Business. Her biggest challenges in the classroom are motivating non-accounting majors by convincing them of the importance of accounting in their chosen field of study and stimulating interest in a topic that many perceive to be boring. Her most rewarding work is found in the time spent outside of class advising students as to their academic and career paths.
