The purpose of this document is to furnish Marquette University Chemistry Department students, faculty and staff with safety guidelines. These guidelines apply to both the teaching and research laboratories.
Within the manual below, the Chemistry Department at Marquette University delineates the means for providing a safe and healthy workplace in compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) of 1970 including CFR 1910.1450 “Occupational Exposure to Hazardous Chemicals in Laboratories”, the “Laboratory Standard”.
