A Connect Retreat is a great opportunity for First Year students to take the time to reflect on your time at Marquette.
What has your faith been like? What have been your struggles? Where is God in your experiences at Marquette? How can your faith be more active in your daily life? While exploring these questions, first year students will be able to form community with others who are seeking to invite and experience God's presence in their lives.
Come find companions for your journey on a Marquette Connect Retreat!

First Year students at Marquette.
Cost:
$45 covers transportation, food, and lodging
Location:
Lutherdale Ministries - Elkhorn, WI
Schedule:
Meet at Campus Ministry (AMU 236) at 5 p.m., Friday
Return to Marquette by 1 p.m., Sunday
What should I bring?
Lutherdale is a camp/retreat center environment with a lake and many acres of land to walk and explore. Plan to dress for the weather, including jackets, hats, gloves, and comfortable walking shoes for time spent outside.
Your retreat fee covers the cost of transportation to and from the retreat center, as well as meals during the retreat.
For the Fall Connect Retreat, participants will need to bring a sleeping bag, pillow, and towel. For the Spring retreat, bedding, pillows, and towels are provided by the retreat center. For both retreats, there are separate men’s and women’s restrooms and showers on each floor.
Other items to pack:
- A journal or notebook and a couple of writing instruments
- A snack or beverage to share with everyone
- Your own water bottle
- Your own personal toiletries (toothpaste, shampoo, etc.)
- Any prescriptions or medications that you use regularly
- A flashlight may be helpful for walking outside after dark
- DON'T BRING homework, laptops, iPods, or other distractions
