Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Jesuits, urged men and women to be attentive to the movement of their hearts and the voice of God within them. To cultivate a deeper awareness of God and self, he urged people both to take time daily for quiet and prayer, and to spend time apart from their normal routines. Campus Ministry invites you to shape your life in response to God in the tradition of St. Ignatius. Take time. Consider making one of the many retreat options available to you at Marquette University.
Most of Campus Ministry retreats are student run. Student Retreat Leaders choose to take an active role in sharing their faith as they build a faith community at Marquette. There is no one “type” for Retreat Leader so please consider this opportunity and ask yourself, “Could I be just what someone needs to help them get closer to God?” To learn more about becoming a Retreat Leader, click here.
