Description: The group lives and shadows the daily routine of those working with The Working Boys Center in Quito, Ecuador. Our focus will always be the children of the center and much of your experience is the time you spend getting acquainted with them morning, noon and night. The schedule also includes; Job shadowing following a long-term volunteer as they work in the center, job training - learn a job skill in one of the many areas offered through WBC, a Minga (building/work) day with a family of the school at their home, a tour of Quito and some of the homes of the families involved with WBC, touring of the origins of the WBC and the Jesuits in Old Town Quito, and spending a cultural day traveling to villages and the Otavalo Market. Our schedule is dependent upon the schedule of the WBC and those who plan our activities. Many groups visit this site so there is often more than one group present at a time.

Conduct Policy: Due to the distance and possible challenges found anytime Marquette students venture off campus, Campus Ministry asks that all participants verify that they are not currently nor will be when the trip occurs, on disciplinary probation with the University. Two conduct checks will occur on any students wishing to participate, one before final decisions are made for the trip and the second before leaving for the trip.
