Cantors

Cantors are an essential aspect of music ministry. These individuals lead the congregation in sung prayer for all campus Masses whether at the Church of the Gesu, Chapel of the Holy Family, or Joan of Arc Chapel. All cantors sing for at least two of the three venues and will be scheduled to cantor four to five times a semester. Students may sign up for an audition in Campus Ministry, AMU 236 the first week of classes each semester. After passing the auditions, mandatory training is held at the beginning of each semester for new and returning cantors. Cantors need to attend training once a year prior to becoming active in the ministry. Students may become cantors for spring semester by auditioning and attending training in January.
