Thank you to everyone who was involved in the NCA elections. I'd especially like to thank Sherry Morreale for her graciousness and for being the sort of colleague whom I now can call a friend.
I am delighted to have been elected, and look forward to working with you all in the coming years. It is a privilege to be able to serve NCA and I hope to live up to the trust you've placed in me. |

I am both honored and delighted to be nominated for Second Vice President. If I am elected I would work tirelessly to serve NCA because I believe I owe a great deal to the Association. I first attended an NCA convention (then SCA) in 1980, in New York City, and my interactions there were instrumental in my decision to return to graduate school and earn a Ph.D. in Communication Studies. I have rarely missed a convention since then. Below I list my qualifications and note a few ideas for a presidential platform, were I elected. I welcome feedback from members as I am interested in hearing what others think would make a great organization even better.
