Professor/Director, Family Studies

Thank you to everyone who was involved in the NCA elections. I'd especially like to thank Sherry Morreale for her graciousness and for being the sort of colleague whom I now can call a friend.

I am delighted to have been elected, and look forward to working with you all in the coming years. It is a privilege to be able to serve NCA and I hope to live up to the trust you've placed in me.

Lynn H. Turner
Candidate for NCA 2nd Vice President

I am both honored and delighted to be nominated for Second Vice President.  If I am elected I would work tirelessly to serve NCA because I believe I owe a great deal to the Association.  I first attended an NCA convention (then SCA) in 1980, in New York City, and my interactions there were instrumental in my decision to return to graduate school and earn a Ph.D. in Communication Studies.  I have rarely missed a convention since then.  Below I list my qualifications and note a few ideas for a presidential platform, were I elected.  I welcome feedback from members as I am interested in hearing what others think would make a great organization even better.
