Marquette University

Broadcast and Electronic Communication

Dream Your Dream
Want to be the next Katie Couric? Or would you rather write your own TV show? Or produce and direct one? Would you like to be an executive producer at 20th Century Fox? One of our grads is. Others are reporters and anchors all over the world.

You’ll learn the skills necessary to follow in their footsteps from Marquette faculty and by using our state-of-the-art technology: two color studios, nine video editing suites, three audio studios, plus computer graphics platforms and our advanced interactive digital equipment.

Learning Power
BREC majors research, write, produce, direct and market electronic messages regardless of the medium. Students gather and process information in print, audio, video and on the Web. There's heavy emphasis on liberal arts courses to give you a broad background.

Get Real
Join the staffs of MUTV and Marquette Radio, both serving the Marquette community. Learn with the pros during an internship at a local television or radio station, with TV networks and with corporations.
