Why Marquette?

Although I initially considered my appointment to the Marquette faculty as a temporary thing, it is suddenly forty years later. That shows how marquette can get under your skin and into your heart before you realize what's happening.

Research Interests

An inveterate historian, I have investigated jazz history, broadcast media history, and in more recent years, the history of certain other popular culture artifacts.

Popular Culture Association

Professional Experience

In addition to my Marquette experience, I have spent over twenty-five years as a professional broadcaster.
