
Dr. Essuman is originally from Ghana and previously worked as an economist in the Research Department of the Bank of Ghana (Economic Intelligence Unit) during which time he occasionally wrote speeches for the Governor of the Bank and accompanied top Bank executives to regional conferences including, Economic Community of West African States, Association of African Central Banks, and West African Clearing House. He was also a founding delegate and member of the organizing committee of the West African Bankers’ Association. Dr. Essuman has published and made several presentations in the area of development economics at regional, national, and international meetings and conferences. Dr. Essuman has a passion for teaching and has twice been listed in Who is Who Among America’s Best Teachers. He has reviewed many textbooks and has co-authored two principles of economics textbooks.
