CSC Student Employment Info Session Student Employment Opportunities Instructions for Applying


Working as a student employee in the Career Services Center is a great way to learn the ins-and-outs of career planning, find out more about employers who hire at Marquette, and help other students on campus get excited about their future!

The Career Services Center seeks students with the ability to collaborate effectively as a member of a team, work independently and accept individual responsibility for projects or assignments, and effectively represent the Career Services Center to fellow students, campus departments, and employers. Each year hundreds of unique students and employers use our services and we could not function as effectively on campus without the hard work and dedication of our student staff. In addition to making a difference in the lives of your fellow students, you will develop skills employers seek including written and verbal communication skills, ability to work as a member of a team, adaptability, and the confidence to take initiative on the job. When you work at the Career Services Center you are preparing yourself for future professional success!

CAREER SERVICES CENTER STUDENT EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION SESSION

A Career Services Center Student Employment Information Session will be held on Wednesday, March 21st from 4-5 PM and another will be held on Thursday, March 22nd from 7-8 PM in the Career Services Center Seminar Room (Holthusen Hall, First Floor). Join us to learn more about student employment opportunities available with the CSC for the upcoming school year. This info session will give attendees the opportunity to:

  • Learn more about the Career Services Center
  • Each position being offered
  • The application process
  • Have any questions pertaining to the positions answered
  • Hear from current student employees about their roles and responsibilities

This is your opportunity to learn why CSC student employees truly love where they work.

Attendance is not required in order to apply for a position.

Career Intern
The Career Intern is responsible for assisting students with basic career related topics such as resume, and cover letter critiques; brief practice interviews; and job search related presentations. This position would be ideal for students who have career interest in counseling, education, human resources, higher education administration, social work or writing; with a genuine interest in helping others.
Approximately 10-12 hours/week

Marketing Intern
The Marketing Intern is responsible for planning and executing comprehensive marketing plans promoting office events, resources, and services. Events include but are not limited to, career fairs, employer informational sessions, and CSC professional development events. The Marketing Intern is expected to have a working knowledge of social media outlets including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
Approximately 10-15 hours/week

Office and Employer Relations Assistant (New Position)
The Office and Employer Relations Assistant is part of a team of students who provide administrative and project support to the Career Services Center. Each Assistant works alongside the Office Associate helping manage the daily activities of a busy front office. Additionally, this role assists the Employer Relations Coordinator with the execution of employer engagement activities.
Approximately 10-15 hours/week

Research Analyst Intern (New Position)
The Research Analyst Intern is responsible for running internally requested reports from various databases, preparing data for analysis, and creating user-friendly reports and dashboards for external constituents. Other act ivies related to data collection, preparation, and analysis as assigned.
Approximately 8-10 hours/week
