Course management allows you to customize aspects of your course and manage its content. You can modify the colors used on your course page, add/remove available tools, manage files, and customize many additional elements of your course.
Course management options are accessed through the Edit Course link on the Navigation bar.
From any course page, on the Navigation bar, click Edit Course.
The Course Admin Tools window opens . The tools are shown here.
From any pane within the Course Management console, click Course Home on the Navigation Bar.
You are returned to the course homepage.

Course Offering Information
This link allows you to change the course start date, which means how soon students can view the course in D2L. The earliest that students can view a course is two weeks before it begins. Do not change the course name in D2L as it causes confusion between D2L and CheckMarq.
Files
This area allows you to manage (upload, move, delete) the folders and files that make up the content of your course.
Groups
Create group work areas for students and set students up in groups.
Homepages
This area steps you through creating other layouts for your course homepage and allows you to create a new homepage and additional widgets.
Import/Export/Copy Components
Components include things like discussion forums and topics and course files. Once created, such components can be copied from one course to another. It may be easier to access this from the Content page.
NavBars
While the course Navigation bar can be modified, inconsistent position of links causes confusion and makes technical support more difficult.
Tools
Course tools such as Discussions and Grades can be removed or added. We don't recommend renaming them because inconsistent naming schemes between courses causes confusion.
User Progress
Monitor participation in Discussions, topics visited, quizzes, dropbox, and grades.
