Setting Preferences

The My Preferences area allows you to adjust settings for font, CD-ROM drive, operating system, viewing options, discussions, pager notification, and the picture displayed on the My Home page.

Changing Paging Settings

The Paging tab allows you to control how many records appear per page in various areas and tools. Paging settings can be changed for the following:

• Classlist
• Dropbox
• Grades
• Manage Courses
• Manage Users
• Quizzes Attempts
• Survey Participants
• Survey Results

1. From the My Home page, in the Welcome widget, click My Preferences.
   The My Preferences page appears.

2. Select the Paging tab.

3. Using the pull-down lists, select the desired options.

4. Click SAVE.
   Your paging settings are saved.

Changing Pager Settings

The Pager tab allows you to specify an audio notification when you receive a page.

1. From the My Home page, in the Welcome widget, click My Preferences.
   The My Preferences page appears.

2. Select the Pager tab.

3. For Incoming page Icon, select On or Off.

4. From the Incoming page Sound list, select a sound effect.
   HINT: To preview the sound, click PLAY .
   Note: QuickTime must be installed.

5. Click SAVE.
   Your pager settings are saved.
