The Links tool provides an area for adding online resources to a course. You can use this section to create links and provide students with access to global resources.
NOTE: You can also add external links to the Content page.
Creating links to external web pages is a great way to expand the resources available to students.
1. From the Course Home page, on the Navigation bar, click LINKS
The Manage Links page appears.
2. Click MANAGE LINKS.
The Manage Links dialog box appears.
3. Check the category where you want to add a link.
OR
In the Category text box, pull down to select the category.
NOTE:
You cannot create links until you have created at least one category.
If a category has not been selected, the default location is the first category.
4. Click NEW LINK.
The Create a New Link dialog box appears.
5. In the Title text box, type the desired title.
HINT: It is helpful to match the title to the site or page name so that users know they have arrived at the correct location.
In the URL text box, type the desired URLHINT: You must use the absolute URL (http://...)
To avoid typing errors, copy and paste the URL from the browser.
6. To have the link open in a new window, select Open in New Window.
7. To provide a description for the link, in the Description scroll box, type a description .
HINT: To use HTML code, select In HTML..
8. When finished, click SAVE.
The link is added.
You can organize the list of links to best suit the needs of the class.
1. From the Course Home page, on the Navigation bar, click LINKS.
The Manage Links page appears.
2. Click RE-ORDER.
The Re-order dialog box appears.
3. Change the values in the Sort Order field.
4. Click SAVE.
WARNING: If you delete a category, all links in the category will also be deleted.

2. Next to the desired link or category, click DELETE.
A confirmation dialog box appears.
3. Click YES.
