Quiz Options: Permitting Multiple Attemptsfor faculty

If you would like to allow students to take a quiz more than one time, you can permit multiple attempts.

Other documents relating to quizzes you may find helpful include the following:

  1. From the Course Home page, on the Navigation bar, click QUIZZES.
    The Quizzes page appears.

  2. The Manage Quizzes page appears.

  3. Click on the Attempts tab.
    From the Attempts Allowed pull-down list, select the desired number.

  4. From the Overall Grade Calculation pull-down list, select how student grades will be assessed based on multiple attempts.
    Your options include the following:

    Option Description

    Highest Attempt

    		 Uses the student's highest score

    Lowest Attempt

    		 Uses the student's lowest score

    Average of all Attempts

    		 Uses an average of the student's multiple attempts

    First Attempt

    		 Uses the student's first attempt

    Last Attempt

    		 Uses the student's final attempt

  5. Click SAVE QUIZ.
    The number of attempts allowed is modified.
