Dr. Lesley J. Gordon spoke about her research on the broad concept of Civil War cowardice within the context on the 16th Connecticut Infantry Regiment.  She has looked at soldiers' wartime letters and diaries and local newspapers in order to draw conclusions about the meaning of cowardice during the war.
