Academic Advising
All MYP participants meet with the program counselor throughout their undergraduate career. These appointments provide students with individualized services meant to promote academic excellence. New students are required to meet with the counselor twice a semester and returning students are required to meet with the counselor once a semester.
The MYP counselor provides the following services:
- Identifies academic support recommendations
- Provides guidance during course selection
- Discussion and development of academic goals and self-advocacy skills
- Assistance understanding and navigating the campus systems
Please note: The MYP counselor provides specialized supplemental advising, and is not a replacement for a student’s college advisor.
