Mentor Program
MARQ Your Path offers an optional mentor program for all new participants as a means of additional support for students transitioning from high school to college. Each mentee is paired with a mentor based on criteria such as home location, disability, intended major, and information retrieved from the Mentee/Mentor Interest Surveys.
Mentors meet with mentees weekly and address various topics, including: time management, study skills, campus involvement, registering for classes and preparing for finals.
Mentors are selected based on the following criteria:
- Active involvement in both MARQ Your Path and the Marquette community
- Strong commitment to academic success
- Positive interpersonal skills
- Interest in supporting others through their college experience
