Assistant to the Chair/CECP
Try to imagine being responsible for the welfare, comfort, and general happiness of counseling students, full-time and adjunct faculty, visitors who enter the department at any time of the day, along with hiring/supervising student worker receptionists and you will have a good idea of what Coreen does for so many. She is only one telephone call or an email away. It should come as no surprise that Coreen enthusiastically declares the best part of her job to be working with prospective students, current students and alumni.
Starting in 1987, Coreen has been providing service to students, first as a member of the Finance Office and then the Student Loan Accounts Office. Since 1993, in her position within the College of Education, as Program Coordinator in the Hartman Center and most recently, since 2007, the Assistant to the CECP Chair. She received the 2009 Excellence in University Service Award, one of only two staff employees annually awarded. "Coreen Bukowski is the living embodiment of St. Ignatius’s concept of the magis. Her fundamental comportment toward her position is consummately professional, and she is always willing to go that proverbial extra mile."
Ms. Bukowski graduated from Marquette’s College of Professional Studies, in 2000, in Organization and Leadership. In her time away from Marquette University, Coreen is busy with family and community activities.
