- Community Counseling - General Counseling
Prepares students for positions in health care organizations, community agencies, private practice and college counseling centers.
- Community Counseling - Child/Adolescent/Family Counseling
Similar to the above community counseling program; offers additional training specific to providing therapeutic services to children and adolescents.
- School Counseling
Prepares students to work in guidance departments at primary and secondary schools, providing mental health and academic services; meets DPI licensure requirements.
- Clinical Mental Health Counseling Specializations in addiction-mental health counseling.
Our master’s in counseling programs prepare students to work as counselors and therapists in hospitals, schools, clinics, private group practices and other community settings. The Master of Arts in Counseling Programs requires 48 credit hours for completion. The Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program requires 60 credit hours for completion. Following a full-time schedule, the Programs can be completed in two calendar years. The number of courses and credit hours taken per semester vary even with full-time status so it is important that students follow the recommended course sequences.
