Graduate Assistant for Alumni Memorial Union - Student Leardership

The Graduate Assistant serves in an academic year appointment working approximately 20 hours per week and reports to the Assistant Director, AMU. This individual is responsible for several on-going and short-term projects that advance the vision of the AMU, which include working with the AMU student leadership program on leadership development, employee engagement, and employment competency development of students, assisting with the fall Olson Leadership Institute, spring wellbeing leadership retreat, and the divisional student leadership awards. The Graduate Assistant is expected to undertake all responsibilities in a manner that reflects the Catholic, Jesuit mission of the University as well as the principles of student development theory.

Remuneration: 12 tuition credits (6 per semester) and a $17,600 stipend*

Graduate Assistant for Campus Activities 

The Graduate Assistant for Campus Activities serves in an academic year appointment working approximately 20 hours per week and reports to the Coordinator for Student Organizations and Campus Activities. This individual is responsible for several ongoing and short-term projects that advance the vision of the AMU and Student Engagement Services. Additionally, as part of a team of student development specialists, this individual may assist in the design and implementation of peer education and leadership development programs for students and student organizations. Graduate student staff will be provided opportunities and are expected to contribute to other functional areas as determined by the Coordinator for Student Organizations and Campus Activities and the priorities of the AMU. The Graduate Assistant is expected to undertake all responsibilities in a manner that reflects the Catholic, Jesuit mission of the University as well as the principles of student development theory.

Graduate Assistant for Community Service - Outreach and Recruitment

The Graduate Assistant for the Arrupe Center for Community Service and Social Responsibility within the Office of Student Development assists the staff in varying capacities, based on the needs of the campus community and overall staff composition. The combination of duties within each Graduate Assistant ’s position description may vary within 20 hours per week each semester but will include some of the possible duties and responsibilities such as like Connect & Serve, Marquette Community Day of Service, and Community Service Fairs, working closely with student leaders, student program assistants, and community partners. Graduate Assistants may advise student organizations, assess programs and services, and provide outreach to the greater campus community. Graduate Assistants may also assist with coordinating programs and services related to anti-racism, equity, and justice for the campus community. The Graduate Assistant is expected to undertake all responsibilities in a manner that reflects the Catholic, Jesuit mission of the University as well as the principles of Student Development Theory.

Graduate Assistant for Provost - Academic Integrity Coordinator

The Graduate Assistant for Academic Integrity serves in a 12-month appointment working approximately 20 hours per week and reports to the Academic Integrity Director. Marquette University is committed to developing students where integrity is an integral part of their character. This individual with will work directly with the Academic Integrity Director to manage, support, and promote the academic integrity system at Marquette University. This individual will handle correspondence regarding situations of academic misconduct as well as organizing and tracking all cases to ensure appropriate timelines are met. This individual will also contribute to new initiatives designed to promote integrity on campus.

Graduate Assistant for New Student & Family Programs

The Graduate Assistant for New Student & Family Programs serves in a one-year (renewable for a second) appointment working approximately 20 hours per week, with more hours being worked during heavier programming times. The position reports to the Coordinator and Director for New Student and Family Programs. This individual will assist with the development and implementation of New Student Programs at Marquette University, including SPARK (a summer pre-orientation program), New Student Orientation (welcome week in August), Winter Orientation (January), and Family Weekend (end of September). The Graduate Assistant for New Student & Family Programs will serve as a co-supervisor for student employees and coordinate the training of 100+ undergraduate student staff. New Student & Family Programs is housed in the Office of Student Development in the Division of Student Affairs. The Graduate Assistant is expected to undertake all responsibilities in a manner that reflects the Catholic, Jesuit mission of the University as well as the principles of student development theory.

Graduate Assistant for Student Wellness Programs

The Graduate Assistant for Student Wellness Programs is housed in the Center for Student Wellness and Health Promotion. This position gives a graduate the opportunity to work with Center for Student Wellness and Health Promotion team that consists of a director, coordinator of student wellness programs, other graduate assistants and undergraduate peer wellness educators. This position appointment is in alignment with the Marquette University academic calendar and is 20 hours per week.
