College of Education Hosts Two Events Celebrating Teachers and Literacy

The College of Education, in conjunction with the Education Deans of Greater Milwaukee, the Faye McBeath Foundation, The Milwaukee Business Journal, and the Greater Milwaukee Committee's Teachtown, is hosting two events on October 8th.

The first, a forum entitled Transforming Literacy: Best Practices & Future Directions, will be held in the Appellate Courtroom, Eckstein Hall, 1215 W. Michigan Street. Pre-registration and a light lunch begin at 11:30 with the panel discussion taking place from 12:00 to 1:30 PM. Panelists include:

This event is open to the public and complimentary, however registration is necessary.

Beginning at 6:30 PM, the third annual Celebrate Teachers & Teaching event will take place at Anodyne Coffee Roasting Company, 224 W. Bruce Street. Small plates from local restaurants, door prizes, and an awards presentation will take place throughout the evening. Advance tickets are available or tickets can be purchased at the door.
