Exchange Club Renews Funding for Behavior Clinic Position

Released: 4/27/11

The College of Education is pleased to announce that the Exchange Club will continue to support a doctoral level Exchange Scholar at the Behavior Clinic, a COED sponsored training clinic that provides mental health services for inner-city families with young children with emotional and behavior problems.

Beginning in August 2011, Brittany Gresl, a doctoral student in the counselor education and counseling psychology department, will receive 18 credits of graduate tuition and a monthly stipend towards her work at the Behavior Clinic for the next 24 months. Her responsibilities will include conducting clinical intakes, providing direct service to families, supervising student clinicians, and running the clinic's internship/practicum program. The amount of the two year grant will total approximately $60,000.

This is the fourth year of funding for the Exchange Scholar program.
