College of Education Dean to Present at Pecha Kucha Night

College of Education Dean Bill Henk will present at Milwaukee’s upcoming Pecha Kucha night on Tuesday, Feb. 24.

Pecha Kucha is a fast-paced format featuring a speaker allowed 20 slides with 20 seconds per slide, for a total length of 6 minutes and 40 seconds. Pecha Kucha, a Japanese word that means “chit-chat,” was started in Toyko as a format for architects to share their projects. It has spread to cities around the world as a medium to share ideas in business, art, academia and more.

Henk’s presentation is entitled “Some Unimagined Links Between Love, Learning, and Leading.” It will share his personal story of the intersection between his experience as a new father and his professional career.  

Presenters from Marquette also include Career Services Center Director Laura Kestner,Diederich College of Communication Professional In Residence Linda Menck, College of Health Sciences Dean William Cullinan, and Associate Professor of Psychology, Ed de St. Aubin.

The event will take place at 8 p.m. at Sugar Maple, 441 E. Lincoln Ave., Milwaukee. The cost is $10 in advance and $12 at the door, which supports the non-profit Pecha Kucha organization.
