If you missed Peter McWalter's presentation on the common core at Marquette University last week, we'd like to invite you to view this video of his presentation, which furthers the discussion of how teachers can harness the powers of the common core for their own benefit.
While there is no silver bullet, Mr. McWalters believes that each and all the “levers” of reform need to be understood, supported, and directed toward the same objective: of developing a system that provides equity, access, and the means to support all students to perform at publicly-agreed-upon expectations of quality and growth.
The "Common Core" is one of those levers and is an "opportunity" for all educational stakeholders to review and align these critical levers in support of a coherent, comprehensive, and continuous-improvement education reform strategy.
