Inaugural Teach for America Cohort Arrives in Milwaukee

Released: 6/24/09

During the week of June 16-21, Marquette University welcomed 28 Teach for America corps members and program administrators for a week-long campus orientation.

On Thursday of the week, the College of Education hosted the students to provide them with an overview of the College, information about graduate policies at Marquette, the TFA Teacher Education course sequence, and opportunities for campus life involvement. Corps members attending Cardinal Stritch University joined the Marquette TFA Interns for lunch and discussion of housing opportunities in the Milwaukee area. All members were housed in O’Donnell Hall during the duration of their stay.

Following their orientation, TFA Interns will participate in a five-week Summer Institute in Chicago before beginning their course work in August.
