Walker Dalhouse Elected to ALER Board

Dr. Doris Walker-Dalhouse, Professor of Literacy in the department of educational policy and leadership, has been elected to the board of the Association of Literacy Educators and Researchers (ALER).

ALER is a professional organization committed to stimulating the self-development and professional growth of teachers and reading specialists at all educational levels; encouraging the continuing improvement of college and university curricula and encourage preparation programs for teachers and reading specialists; and encouraging the continuing improvement of administrative, clinical, diagnostic, and instructional practices related to the learning process.

Walker-Dalhouse's service on the board will begin in 2015 and persist through 2018.
