Lori Fredrich is a writer, wonderer, bon vivante, traveler, cook, gardener, and girlwonder. These days, she does less writing than she ought, but she tries to cultivate her creativity in other ways. Born and raised in the Milwaukee area, she has tried to leave many times, but seems to be drawn to this quirky city that smells of beer and alewives.
Lori came to Marquette University in 2000, after earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin in English and Humanistic Studies and studying Classics at the University of Iowa. Impressed with her knowledge of dead languages, the School of Education adopted her and she has been a fixture ever since. Lori loves the variety of tasks that encompass her job, and has genuinely enjoyed the opportunity for growth that working in the School of Education has presented. During her time here, she's taken a variety of classes at Marquette, honed her web and print design skills, and gotten involved in marketing and recruitment for the School. Lori also manages to find time to write news articles, edit the alumni newsletter, Aequitas, and maintain the School of Education's Web site.
