Recently Dean Bill Henk began his service to theWisconsin Higher Education Business Roundtable (WHEBR) Subcommittee on K-12 Education and the UW system.  The purpose of the group is to determine what can be done to improve the relationship between K-12 education and the University of Wisconsin System that would enhance the state’s ability to cost-effectively educate, empower, and benefit from its investment in human capital. Dr. Henk is joined on the subcommittee by representatives from such companies as Midwest Airlines, MillerCoors, We Energies, and Northwestern Mutual Life.  Dr. Henk’s appointment derives not only from his direct knowledge of K-12 education systems, but also from the 19 years of experience he accrued at Pennsylvania’s land grant institution, Penn State University.
