Engineering Co-op

ENGINEERING CO-OP PROGRAM

Students who accept a co-op job are expected to create a work term and academic course plan.

The plan should include the current semester through their expected graduation date; specifying the terms that they are scheduled to be at work and the courses that they intend to take during the academic semesters.

The student should share this plan with their academic advisor prior to their first work term and ask the advisor to explain any concerns.

The student and advisor should communicate during advising week each semester to review and adjust the plan. If the student is unable to meet in-person due to their work schedule or location, email communication will suffice. The student's registration hold will be removed either by turning in the advisor-signed "green card" or by an email from the advisor to Ms. Cromell asking to remove the hold.

When creating a co-op plan, academic courses must be rearranged in order to accommodate work terms. It is important to remember:

The below course lists were generated using the online bulletin for the 2012-2013 academic year on Marquette University's Undergraduate Bulletin website. They include class code, class title, the semester in which it is recommended that the course be completed and the pre-requisits required to take the course.

These schedule tools are meant to assist you in planning your work/school schedules for the co-op program. The undergraduate bulletin listings take precedence over these schedule lists if there is a discrepancy.

If a mistake is found, please notify the industry relations office.
