Brian D. Schmit: Associate Dean for Research of the Opus College of Engineering, Professor of Biomedical Engineering

Dr. Schmit has served as the Associate Dean for Research for the Opus College of Engineering since 2017.  He is also a Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Co-Director of Falk Center for Neurorehabilitation Engineering Research Center.  His research interests are in the areas of neural engineering and rehabilitation of those people with neural disability.  He has been at Marquette University since 2000.

Karen Jamiola: Proposal Developer and Grant Specialist

Karen joined the Opus College of Engineering in September 2013 as the Proposal Developer and Grant Specialist.  She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with an English minor, from Marquette University.  In addition, Karen has her Master of Arts in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University.  She worked at Marquette University from 1999-2008 in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, and she has more than 15 years of grant administration experience.
