PT and EXPH professors receive Office of Minority Health research awards
Drs. Paula Papanek and Larry Pan have received at 1.5 million dollar grant from the U.S. Office of Minority Health (OMH) to promote healthy lifestyles and life choices in Hispanic middle school youth at the United Community Center (UCC) in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Youth Empowered to Succeed (YES3) works with UCC’s Bruce Guadalupe Middle School to provide mentorship, tutorials, advising, fitness, wellness and youth asset development to 50 middle school youth.
