Dr. Sandra Hunter, professor of exercise science, received the Rev. John P. Raynor, S.J, Faculty Award for Teaching Excellence at the 56th annual Père Marquette Dinner. Dr. Hunter also received this year's Way Klingler Fellowship in Science.

PT and EXPH professors receive Office of Minority Health research awards

Drs. Paula Papanek and Larry Pan have received a $1.5 million grant from the U.S. Office of Minority Health (OMH) to promote healthy lifestyles and life choices in Hispanic middle school youth at the United Community Center (UCC) in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Youth Empowered to Succeed (YES3) works with UCC’s Bruce Guadalupe Middle School to provide mentorship, tutorials, advising, fitness, wellness and youth asset development to 50 middle school youth.
