Ignatius Scholarships & Magis Awards
Ignatius Scholarships & Magis Awards
Ignatius Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis. These scholarships are primarily academic in nature.
Magis awards are given on the basis of the entire application. Magis awards consider community service, leadership and other factors in determining an award amount.
Ignatius Scholarships and Magis awards are considered in combination. Your award letter will detail which program (Ignatius or Magis) you receive. Award letters are typically mailed in mid-February.
Historically, freshmen applicants who have excelled in the classroom and have performed well on standardized examinations have received scholarship awards from Marquette. Transfer applicants are reviewed based upon a combination of college and high school performance as well as leadership and service activities. This scholarship is renewable each semester of a recipient's four-year (eight-semester) undergraduate program provided the recipient remain in good academic standing with their respective college. For additional program details regarding this award review the applicable Award Information Guide, available from the Office of Student Financial Aid at marquette.edu/financialaid.
