With an major in electrical engineering, you will be trained in the areas of electromagnetic energy conversion, electromagnetic fields, and electronic materials. Furthermore, you have the opportunity to specialize with concentrations in power, control systems, system safety, solid state electronics and materials. Employers appreciate this type of experience in a variety of areas, as evident in the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistic’s recent report. According to the bureau, electrical engineers should expect the fastest growth in service-providing industries, where flexibility and a wide range of knowledge are key.
