AFE Milwaukee Scholarship

Deadline: March 31, annually

The Association for Facilities Engineering (AFE)- Milwaukee Chapter 12 is offering scholarships to freshmen, sophomores and juniors pursuing a career in facilities engineering. American Concrete Institute (ACI) Scholarships

Deadline: November 14, 2008

 

Open to students who have completed a bachelor’s degree and who are first- or second-year graduate students pursuing a degree in engineering, architecture, or a materials science program. The program shall be in the area of concrete with an emphasis on structural design, materials, construction or any combination thereof. Must be full-time. American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, Inc.
Deadline: December 15th annually

The ASHRAE Scholarship Program is designed to encourage and assist heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC&R) education through its granting of scholarships and fellowships. The program also serves the public interest by aiding in the education of men and women to become qualified to practice as engineers in the HVAC&R field.

 

APWA- Chicago Chapter- Lake Branch Scholarship

Deadline: April, annually

Open to students pursuing a degree in Public Works Administration, civil engineering or environmental engineering. Must meet one of the following criteria: reside in Lake County, IL; be employed by, or be an immediate family member to an employee of a Public Works Agency within Lake County; or be a current member or immediate family to a current member of the Lake Branch of the American Public Works Association. ASHRAE New Investigator Award
Deadline: December 15th annually

The purpose of the award is to: (1) Enhance the academic careers of recent Ph.D. recipients by providing support for research activities; (2) Promote research related to the goals of ASHRAE in universities and colleges. (3) Promote educational efforts related to the goals of ASHRAE in universities and colleges.

 

Builders Foundation Scholarship

Deadline: November 1, annually

 

Open to graduates of a Chicagoland area high school in counties of Illinois (Boone, Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake, LaSalle, McHenry), Indiana (Lake, Porter), or Wisconsin (Kenosha, Walworth). Must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate sophomore or junior majoring in construction management or construction engineering. Must be a U.S. citizen or documented permanent resident. Jewish Federation of Metro Chicago Scholarship

Deadline: February 15, annually

Open to graduate students enrolled in a helping profession program (medicine, human services, rabbinate, Jewish communal service) and undergraduates enrolled in nursing, mathematics, engineering, performing arts or law (in the helping sector). National Physical Science Consortium

Deadline: November 5th annually

NPSC's primary objective is to aid in increasing the number of Ph.D.s in the physical sciences and related engineering fields, emphasizing recruitment of a diverse applicant pool of women and historically underrepresented minorities. NOBCCChE Awards for Students and Professionals

The National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemist and Chemical Engineers (NOBCCChE) was established to build a community of scientists and engineers by increasing the number of minorities in these fields. Underground Contractors Association

Deadline: February 15, annually

Veterans of Enduring Freedom & Iraqi Freedom Scholarship

Deadlines: November 1 and April 1, annually

 

Open to students currently enrolled as part- or full-time undergraduates. Must be active-duty or honorably discharged U.S. military veteran of the Enduring Freedom or Iraqi Freedom operations. Must be majoring in the following fields: electrical engineering, computer engineering, information systems security, computer information systems, technology management, computer science, physics, mathematics, science education or mathematics education. Majors directly related to the support of U.S. intelligence or national security will also be eligible. Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium

The WSGC is a NASA-funded program dedicated to using the excitement and vision of space science and aerospace science to equip the citizens of WI with the math, science, and technology tools they need to thrive in the next century. Each year WSGC provided tens of thousands of competitively awarded grant dollars to undergraduate (including incoming freshmen) and graduate students throughout the state of Wisconsin. Women’s Transport Seminar (WTS) Scholarships

Deadline: November 10, 2008

Sharon D. Banks Memorial Scholarship- open to undergraduate women currently enrolled in a transportation related field such as transportation engineering, planning, finance or logistics. Must have plans to pursue a career in a transportation related field. Must have cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applications available in Scholarship Department.

Molitoris Leadership Scholarship- open to undergraduate women currently enrolled in a transportation related field such as transportation engineering, planning, finance or logistics. Must have plans to pursue a career in a transportation related field. Must have cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applications available in Scholarship Department.

Helene Overly Graduate Scholarship- open to graduate women currently enrolled in a transportation related field such as transportation engineering, planning, finance or logistics. President’s Legacy Scholarship- open to graduate women currently enrolled in a transportation related field such as transportation engineering, security planning, business management, finance or logistics. Must have plans to pursue a career in a transportation related field. Must have cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Must alsodemonstrate an interest in addressing global transportation issue(s).
