Future Teacher Scholarship

Deadline: varies with program

Hartford Union High School Scholarship- Open to graduates of HUHS who have applied to the School of Education and plan to pursue a teaching career. Must be near completion of two years of undergraduate study. Applications available at http://www.huhs.org/departments/counseling/scholarships.htm. Deadline: April, annually

Central Middle School Scholarship- Open to graduates of HUHS and Central Middle School who have been accepted into the School of Education. Must presently be an intern or student teaching to apply. St. John’s University Scholarship

Deadline: April 1, 2009

St. John’s University awards two tuition-free scholarships for the Master’s degree to graduates of Catholic colleges or universities who have expressed a determination to enter the teaching profession. Veterans of Enduring Freedom & Iraqi Freedom Scholarship

Deadlines: November 1 and April 1, annually

 

Open to students currently enrolled as part- or full-time undergraduates. Must be active-duty or honorably discharged U.S. military veteran of the Enduring Freedom or Iraqi Freedom operations. Must be majoring in the following fields: electrical engineering, computer engineering, information systems security, computer information systems, technology management, computer science, physics, mathematics, science education or mathematics education. Majors directly related to the support of U.S. intelligence or national security will also be eligible.
