
Julia C. Paulk earned her doctorate at Indiana University, Bloomington, in 2003 with a dual specialization in Spanish American Literature and Comparative Literature. As an Assistant Professor of Spanish at Marquette University, she teaches Spanish American literature, language, and culture classes. Dr. Paulk’s areas of research interest are nineteenth-century antislavery literature, Inter-American literary studies, and women’s studies. Her research has been published in prominent academic journals and been presented at both national and international conferences.
