Do donations to the Blue & Gold Athletic Scholarship Fund pull from resources needed by each of the university’s colleges?
No. Actually, the opposite is true. Athletics scholarships awarded to Marquette student-athletes follow those students to their colleges. Last year alone:
- The Klingler College of Arts and Sciences had 69 student-athletes who were recipients of athletics scholarships;
- The College of Business Administration had 40;
- The Diederich College of Communication had 38;
- The College of Health Sciences had 33;
- The College of Engineering had 22; and
- The College of Nursing had 11
