HOW WE USE YOUR GIFT

What is the difference between endowed and current-use scholarships?

Contributions to current-use scholarships are used immediately and entirely to help meet the financial needs of current Marquette students. These scholarships are based on financial need and/or academic merit.

Endowed scholarships are maintained in a special fund, with annual investment earnings being used to fund scholarships. Donors must contribute a minimum of $25,000 to create a new endowed scholarship, but may contribute any amount to an existing endowed scholarship fund (i.e., the Probst, Naus or Engineering Endowed Scholarship Funds).
