Milwaukee Area Teachers Scholarship

The Milwaukee Area Teachers Scholarships (MATS) offers financial assistance in the form of one-half tuition scholarships for three credits per term.

Amounts: Pays for one-half of a three-credit course, or 1.5 credits.

Eligible Programs: All graduate programs.

Requirements and Restrictions: Applicants must be employed as elementary or secondary teachers in either public or private schools in the Milwaukee area. Applicants may be non-degree and/or have less than full-time status to qualify for the MATS. Individuals working as teachers in the following 10 Wisconsin counties are eligible to apply: Dodge, Fond du Lac, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington, Waukesha.

Application Process and Deadlines: Request a paper application from the Graduate School or apply online and submit by the deadline. Deadline for fall semester is February 15, spring semester is November 15, summer session is April 15.
