Access During Construction

wayfinding image showing path to MuseumWe're excited that Straz Hall, immediately north of the Haggerty Museum of Art, is getting a major facelift before becoming the next home for Marquette University's College of Nursing. Before we're able to welcome our new neighbors, a major renovation process is altering the pathway for Haggerty Museum of Art visitors parking in Marquette's Lot J. The good news is that a brand new sidewalk awaits you! When approaching the Museum from Lot J, turn to the south as usual. Proceed past the former sidewalk, and walk further south to the north face of the Museum's building. From there, walk west on the new sidewalk to the Museum's front entrance. Directional signage is posted on the construction site fence. If you need assistance, please call the Museum's admissions desk at 414.288.1669. We're here, and ready to help!

Land and Water Acknowledgement

The Haggerty Museum of Art acknowledges that our campus and Milwaukee are the homelands and waters of the Menominee, Potawatomi, Ho-Chunk, Fox, Mascouten, Sauk and Ojibwe nations, who have known this land and water as a relative for millennia and who remain our hosts on the land today. We also acknowledge that Milwaukee is located along the southwest shores of Michigami (meaning “big water” in Anishinaabemowin), where the Milwaukee River, Menomonee River and Kinnickinnic River meet.
