For those interested in the undergraduate program:

About 175 students are majoring in history in any given semester. The department offers bachelor degrees in History and in American Military History as well as a minor in Public History. MU History graduates go on to law and graduate school, become teachers at private and public schools, and take jobs in businesses, non-profits, and government. History majors learn to think critically, write effectively, and speak persuasively. Combined with studies in the social sciences, foreign language, communications, or virtually any other field, a history major prepares you to enter almost any profession.
