Experience Marquette — Campus Tours

Get acquainted with Marquette during your visit. Take a walk to see the highlights that are hard to miss, such as our new Engineering Hall, as well as the hidden gems that students and alumni treasure. We suggest visiting one or more of these buildings or taking a walking group tour with a guide. All buildings will be staffed for tours. See the reverse side of this card for a campus map.

St. Joan of Arc Chapel

Step inside and experience the peace and tranquility of this faith-filled place. Originally built in France in the 15th century, the chapel was deconstructed stone by stone and rebuilt twice — first in Long Island, N.Y., and again in 1966, when it was dedicated at Marquette.

Rev. John P. Raynor, S.J., Library

Opened in 2003 and named for Marquette's beloved 20th president, Raynor Library boasts extraordinary study and research technologies; a massive collection; rich archival collections, including the complete J.R.R. Tolkien manuscripts; and the OPUS Bridge café, a campus favorite. See the amazing handwritten and illuminated St. John's Bible on display in the lobby.

School of Dentistry

Wisconsin's only School of Dentistry offers instructional and clinical environments facilitating a unique curriculum developed to prepare competent, contemporary general dentists. Join a guided tour at 12:45 p.m. to see features of the building, including the simulation lab and dental clinic, or stop by later to view the dental museum in the atrium.

Ray and Kay Eckstein Hall

Prepare to be wowed when you step inside the Law School. Eckstein Hall opened in fall 2010, and our law students — when they take a break and look up from their textbooks — are still amazed by the extraordinary facility built to support their scholarship and serve as a forum for community discussion of critical civic issues. Join guided tours at 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m. or 2:30 p.m.

Patrick and Beatrice Haggerty Museum of Art

Never doubt the power of women. The Women's Council raised funds to build the Haggerty Museum in 1984, and it's considered one of Milwaukee's premier sites for the exhibition and celebration of the arts, with a collection of more than 4,500 pieces. Stop in to view Current Tendencies II, featuring the work of 10 Milwaukee artists. Treasures from the Old Masters Collection are on view in the mezzanine level.

Engineering Hall

Help us break in our newest campus wonder, Engineering Hall, which opened in August. See the first phase of a discovery learning facility designed to help students take an idea from concept to production in an environment that simulates industry.

Walking group tour

If you love to hear the anecdotes and inside stories that only a seasoned tour guide can provide, join one of our walking group tours. Several campus buildings will be featured. Meet in the lobby of Zilber Hall, 1250 W. Wisconsin Ave. Tours begin at 12:30 p.m. and run every 30 minutes until 3:00 p.m.
