Use Microsoft Lync to share your desktop. It is possible to share your main monitor, a secondary monitor or all monitors. You can also keep control of the cursor yourself or choose to give control to a user with whom you share your desktop.

Open Lync and begin with an instant message conversation, a phone call, or an online meeting. Depending on your version of Lync, click on the desktop icon or click the Share menu.

Use Lync 2010 to share your desktop

  • Share your desktop from an IM using Lync 2010
    • Click Share > Desktop.
  • Share your desktop from a phone call using Lync 2010

    Click Share > Desktop.

Use Lync 2013 to share your desktop

  • Share your desktop from an IM using Lync 2013

    Click the monitor icon at the bottom of the IM window.
  • Share your desktop from a phone call using Lync 2013

    Click the monitor icon at the bottom of the window and make a selection from the menu that pops up.
