Jon D. Hammes was elected to the Marquette University Board of Trustees in 2014.
He is the managing partner of Hammes Company. His primary responsibilities include providing overall leadership and managing the efforts of the national organization. Hammes Company is in the development, financing and management of strategic real estate assets, specifically in the healthcare and sports industries. Hammes Partners is a registered institutional private equity fund that develops and acquires health care facilities on behalf of pension funds, endowments and foundations nationally.
Jon has been an active participant in the Milwaukee community. He serves on the boards of the Medical College of Wisconsin, the University of Wisconsin Foundation, and Teach for America. In addition, he serves on the boards of the Milwaukee Metropolitan Association of Commerce, the Wisconsin Policy Research Institute, WiCab Inc., and the American Enterprise Institute.
Jon earned a master of science degree in real estate and urban land economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He and his wife, Ann, have four children and eight grandchildren.
He is a member of the Marquette University President’s Society.
